This and that.

We've been fairly busy on the weekends and for the past few weeks have gotten into kind of messed up grocery shopping planning schedules. It's kind of nice to take a break from intense cooking all the time and get take out a lot.

Tom has also been really great at scrounging around and making things from whatever's in the fridge. Last week we had everything we needed for Carbonera sauce(sp), which was awesome. He also managed fried shrimp for another awesome dinner. I managed to muster up the effort to make homemade pasta to go with our oversupply of pesto. We have quite a supply in the freezer and we need to finish all the pesto by late June when the basil crop starts coming in. Another conquest of last week, was just some plain chocolate pudding from Fanny Farmer's blancmang recipe, which is always a favorite of mine.

All in all for not doing any planning we've been making quite excellent little feasts here and there. Also there was the definite 5 star dinner last night: Cherry Garcia (I finished off the whole pint) for her, and for him Everything But The (only about a half pint). You can't beat a little Ben and Jerry's dinner now and then.
